The addition authorised a question. It did not empty the phone into Sofia's pocket.
Logical drawing
written addition, after the owner spoke with the driver
look at whether customer addresses are stored
finding already made
delivery records sit on the phone with no end date
a new request
copy the address list to Sofia's phone
or open one named delivery

+-- the written line does not grow by convenience
+-- a wider look waits for a new written line
+-- no address is copied into this lesson
Learning outcomes
After this chapter, you should be able to:
- Keep the written addition tied to the storage question already answered.
- Refuse a copy of the address list onto a personal phone.
- Refuse a named customer's delivery without a new written line.
13.1 The page grew once, for one question
The driver's phone was outside the original scope. The owner added it in writing after speaking with the driver, so Sofia could see whether customer addresses were stored. She found that delivery records stay on the phone with no end date. That finding stands. A colleague now wants the address list copied to Sofia's phone "so the review can quote it", or wants one regular's deliveries opened. The written line does not say either of those. A personal phone is already outside the way she keeps review notes. A named delivery is an individual record. Sofia stops. A wider look would need a new written line from the owner. This lesson does not write that line, and it does not type an address.
13.2 Worked example
Lesson table; scroll horizontally to read all columns →
| Request | Relation to the written line | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Were addresses stored, and for how long? | The question she was added to answer | Already answered: stored, no end date |
| Copy the list onto her personal phone | A new copy, off the shop | Refuse |
| Open one named customer's deliveries | An individual record | Refuse until a new written line |
| "The owner spoke to the driver, so anything on the phone is in scope." | A conversation is not the later line | Refuse the expansion |
Synthetic case. No street address is written out.
Errors and limits
Stopping the copy does not delete the phone's contents. Retention for those records is still the blank row in Chapter 8. This lesson does not fill it.
Apply
- EX067 — How wide is the line? The owner added the driver's phone in writing so Sofia could see whether addresses are stored. She has already recorded that they are kept with no end date. A colleague asks her to copy the address list to her own phone and to open one regular's deliveries. What does the written line still support, and what waits?
Show marking criteria
Rubric: 3 = the storage finding stands; refuse the personal-phone copy and the named delivery; a wider look needs a new written line, which this lesson does not add;; 2 = refuse both wider uses;; 1 = one of those;; 0 = none.
