Day 35 — Hand off a task-specific result and unresolved identity risk at 10:07
Learning task. Produce a handoff that lets a successor decide what to verify next without inheriting invented closure. An eradication status is a set of source-bound claims about targets and tests, not a single percentage. Keep mechanism evidence, approval classification, authorized change, immediate effect, recurrence opportunity and legitimate-service result in separate fields. A missing field is a follow-up obligation with an owner, not automatic failure of every fact and not permission to mark the whole track complete.
Worked evidence package. The mechanism chain is C20's preserved task/run record with validated request semantics, C05's request and C13's stored-state relationship. C23 supports the unapproved classification using owner approval sources. C24 adds task-only approval after preservation at 09:59, operator disablement at 10:03, corroborating read-only status and a short no-run observation through 10:07. These are distinguishable improvements over the 09:54 proposed contract. The next expected scheduled opportunity, source coverage across other runners, re-registration and a permitted batch-17 functional check remain pending. C22's configuration-audit addition and blank actor remain a separate unresolved identity concern; the case supplies no completed method/session remediation here.
At the same checkpoint, C21's separate hold authority ends at 10:07 following the 10:06 decision not to renew, with read-only monitoring and escalation. Do not describe the control as silently continuing, or claim the expiry proves resumed service safe. A successor needs the expired scope and remaining risk to plan any new action. Restoration of correct S42 business data also requires its own approved comparison and service checks; disabling a task is not a data restore.
Model handoff — 145 words under whitespace token counting.
“At 10:07, C20's preserved scheduler record and validated request semantics link sync-override to C05's q-144 S42 edit; C13 supplies the stored-state relationship. C23 classifies the task and C22's separate recovery-method addition as unapproved changes; neither source identifies a human or proves shared intent. C21 separately extended the S42-only hold to 10:07 with a g-23 operator receipt. C24 records preservation before 09:59 task-only approval, operator disablement at 10:03, agreeing read-only status and no later run observed through 10:07. That short window supplies no demonstrated next scheduled opportunity. The owner declined another hold extension at 10:06, retaining read-only monitoring and escalation on an unexpected S42 edit. Identity-method assessment, scoped session decisions, a legitimate batch-17 functional check and recurrence/runner coverage remain pending with the responsible owners. Preserve source and change references; reopen on task reappearance or unexpected writes. No recovery-method removal, human attribution or durable eradication is claimed.”
The label counts only the quoted message, not this explanation; publication validation checks its actual words. The message is a model artifact, not a sent notification. It identifies a pending service test rather than assuming that status agreement means healthy enrollment. An owner must still accept a proposed next observation window and permitted method. The textbook supplies no post-10:07 result and cannot choose an actual trigger time absent schedule metadata.
Contrast. “All persistence removed, all sessions revoked, service recovered” invents outcomes for at least three workstreams. “We know nothing because actor is blank” discards the demonstrated task/request mechanism and scoped task action. A useful handoff preserves what improved and what did not. Replace unbounded adjectives with target, source, observation time and limit. An independent reviewer should be able to reject one unsupported sentence without losing the rest of the record.
Offline review practice. Write your own 120–180-word EX035 handoff, then attach two pending contract rows outside the word limit: scheduler recurrence/legitimate service and identity-method assessment. Each needs owner, minimal next source, permitted observation, reopen trigger and unknown result. Mark one evidence item preserved by the cards versus one package enhancement merely requested. Exchange with a peer, who must trace each completed-action claim to C24 and each hold claim to C17/C21. Compare the worked answer only after that check.
Limits and next decision. Technical fixture reproduction is not human approval of the book or authority to run a live change. The next chapter's reference remains readable; its distinct daily lessons are pending. Carry the 10:07 source state and unresolved contracts forward without importing a later result or initiating translation of an unreleased unit.

Exercise for this lesson
EX035 — 10:07 eradication handoff. Objective: transfer a specific improvement with residual obligations. Inputs: C20–C24 through 10:07 and Days 31–35. Write a 120–180-word handoff identifying preserved mechanism evidence, distinct approval classification, C21 hold extension/expiry, C24 task-only authorization/execution/status and short observation, unresolved identity/recurrence/service checks and a stop/escalation condition. Outside the word limit attach two pending contract rows with owner, minimum next source and unknown result. No later card, sent message, human actor or durable-eradication result may be invented. Rubric: 0 = fabricated action, attribution or closure; 1 = accurate summary but missing authority, pending track or actionable trigger; 2 = bounded usable message plus independently sourced pending contracts. Worked answer.
