A["Before export: 4 of 7"] --> B["After export: 7 of 7"]
B --> C{"Does 7 of 7 cover every Saltmarsh system?"}
C -->|No| D["Keep both loan lines"]
C -->|Yes| E["That claim would need a different export"]
The second line closes the three loan gaps. It does not survey the credit union.

Learning outcomes
After this chapter, you should be able to:
- Read
after: 7/7as the second loan export. - Keep the before line beside it.
- Refuse a claim that the credit union is secure because that line passed.
6.1 The second export speaks for seven loan settings.
Felix's laboratory compares one synthetic loan export with seven rules. The first print says four of seven meet the baseline. The second print says seven of seven, with an empty fail list. Leah keeps both lines in the review folder. A classmate wants the note to say Saltmarsh is secure, and to drop the first line because the second one passed. The second line is the updated loan export only. It does not measure branch email, core banking, the card processor or the phone. Leah does not edit lab_baseline.py. Both prints stay.
6.2 Worked example
Lesson table; scroll horizontally to read all columns →
| Claim | File | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| "The after line is 7 of 7." | The second export | May stay |
| "The before line is 4 of 7." | The first export | May stay |
| "Delete the before line." | Both are kept | Refuse |
| "Saltmarsh is secure." | No such finding | Refuse |
Synthetic case. The exports are fictitious loan settings. They are not a production certificate.
Errors and limits
A passing loan export does not retire the habit of checking again. Chapter 4 still gives that reason for a later quarter.
Apply
- EX052 — What did 7 of 7 measure? The after line says 7 of 7 loan settings meet the baseline. A classmate deletes the before line and writes that Saltmarsh is secure. What do the two lines cover, and what do you refuse?
Show marking criteria
Rubric: 3 = the after line is the second loan export; the before line stays 4 of 7; the pair does not cover email, core banking, the card processor or the phone; do not call the credit union secure; do not edit the script;; 2 = 7 of 7 is the loan export only;; 1 = one of those;; 0 = none.
