Learning outcomes
After this chapter, you should be able to:
- Keep six thousand as the member figure.
- Keep two branches as the sites already stated.
- Leave the dependency print as a service count.
19.1 The introduction and the dictionary count different things.
Saltmarsh serves six thousand members from two branches and a website. The dependency script names seven services and prints how many of those services list each supplier. A classmate adds the members, prints 6000 services, or opens a third branch so the map looks larger. Six thousand is not a row in the laboratory. Two branches are not three. Leah keeps each figure in its own sentence. She does not edit lab_deps.py.
19.2 Worked example
Lesson table; scroll horizontally to read all columns →
| Figure | Unit | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Six thousand | Members | May stay |
| Two branches and a website | The introduction | May stay |
| Seven names in the script | Services | May stay |
| "6000 services" or a third branch | A mixed unit | Refuse |
Synthetic case. No branch is opened. No member list is counted again.
Errors and limits
Separating the units does not say the member figure was audited. It says this book gave it as the size of the fictional credit union.
Apply
- EX065 — What is six thousand? Saltmarsh has six thousand members, two branches and a website. The dependency script names seven services. A classmate prints 6000 services and adds a branch. What figures stay?
