Learning outcomes
After this chapter, you should be able to:
- Keep the prose mention of two providers.
- Keep one print row,
internetwith 2 services. - Name neither provider.
11.1 The row counts a key, not a contract.
The supplier paragraph says Saltmarsh uses two internet providers. The laboratory key is a single word, internet. Online banking and branch PCs list that key, so the print says internet supports 2 services. A classmate splits the row into two named providers and assigns one service to each. The file names neither provider, and it does not say which service uses which contract. Leah leaves the single row. She does not edit lab_deps.py.

Lesson table; scroll horizontally to read all columns →
| Idea | Evidence | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| "The prose says two providers." | The supplier paragraph | May stay |
| "The print has one internet row of 2." | The published output | May stay |
| "Print two provider names." | No names in the file | Refuse |
| "Give each provider one service." | The script does not say that | Refuse |
Synthetic case. No carrier is invented. The row stays one line.
Errors and limits
One row does not prove the two providers are equal, and it does not prove one of them is spare. The file does not say.
Apply
- EX057 — How many internet rows? The prose names two internet providers. The print shows one row, internet with 2 services. A classmate prints two named providers. What do you keep, and what do you not invent?
