ABOUT THE ACADEMY

Cybersecurity education, open to everyone.

OpenCyber Academy publishes free courses, books, lessons, examples and exercises for people who want to protect others and the technology they depend on. Reading never requires an account.

OUR PURPOSE

Learn, practice and verify.

Courses are arranged by subject and study level. Each book has its own curriculum, and each authored lesson can be read and cited on this site. A planned study day is labeled as planned until its teaching is published. Editorial review and a complete book are separate milestones.

The books and their source Markdown are publicly available. An open API and read-only MCP endpoint let students and other AI systems find the material and check its source.

FOUNDER

Hiago Kin Levi

Hiago Kin Levi founded OpenCyber Academy. According to his professional biography at Decripte, he has worked in information security since 2007 and founded Decripte in 2019 to make enterprise cybersecurity more accessible.

That biography describes his work building and training cybersecurity teams and advising on incident response. It also identifies him as the founder of ABRASECI in 2020 and as president of IBRINC, the Brazilian Institute of Cyber Incident Response.

At OpenCyber Academy, the aim is to make technical learning public, navigable and usable without registration. Course content is identified by language and source so readers can distinguish published teaching from future plans.
