### Lesson map

Lesson 14. Map, example, EX060.

```mermaid
  A["Mia asks who left in two years"] --> B["Two social helpers and one shop login"]
  B --> C["Rosa removes them"]
  C --> D{"Is the removal date printed?"}
  D -->|No| E["Keep three people and a blank date"]
```

The checklist can mark the removal item done without dating it.

### Logical drawing

    two social-media helpers
    one online-shop login
    three in total
done in the story
    Rosa removes them
    Mia records each removal and the date
not printed
    the date
    any of their names
    a fourth person

### Learning outcomes

After this chapter, you should be able to:

1. Count the former staff who still had access.
2. Keep their names and the removal dates unprinted.
3. Leave "former staff removed" as a checklist item, not a calendar entry.

### 14.1 The count is three roles, not three named people.

Mia asks Rosa who has left in the past two years. Two former staff are still helpers on the social page, and one still has a login to the online shop. Rosa removes them. That is three people, matching the worked result in chapter 4. Mia records each removal and the date, and she adds leaving to the habits list so the next departure is reported. The manuscript never prints the date and never prints a name. The account rows still say "all staff" or "Rosa, Mia". They do not list the people who left. The checklist's after set includes "former staff removed", which is why that item is not on the `still to do` line. A ticked item is not a dated register. Shared passwords, while they existed, might also have been remembered by people who had left. That is why the move to personal logins matters. It does not add a fourth leaver, and it does not fill in the blank date. Two years is the question Mia asked. It is not a pair of calendar years written on the page.

### 14.2 Worked example

Count the access that was still open. Do not invent the diary entry.

| Record | What is shown | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Two social helpers and one shop login | Chapter 4 | May stay |
| Rosa removes them | The same chapter | May stay |
| A removal date | Recorded, not printed | Do not invent it |
| A fourth leaver | Not in the count | Refuse |

> **Synthetic case.** The former staff stay unnamed. No diary page is reproduced.

### Errors and limits

Recording a date in a note the book does not show is not the same as the date being available to copy. Three stays three.

### Apply

- **EX060 — What do you date?** Rosa removes two social helpers and one shop login. Mia records the dates. Which date do you print, and how many people were removed? *Rubric:* 3 = three people, and no date is printed; no name is added; "former staff removed" stays a checklist item rather than a calendar line;; 2 = the count stays three and the date stays blank;; 1 = the count only;; 0 = none.
