## Chapter 19 — The pilot figures are not script columns

<!-- open-cyber-academy:lesson-figures:start ch-19 -->
### Lesson map

Lesson 19. Map, example, EX065.

```mermaid
flowchart TD
  W["Words in the adoption passage"] --> S["Six scripts, none of which print those words"]
  S --> K["Keep the words in the plan"]
  K --> R["Do not paint them into a lab line"]
```

A figure can be true of the story and still be absent from every stdout.

### Logical drawing

```text
prose, not a column:
  10 users, 2,400 drafts, human click to send
  30-day retention, review above €500
  admin-switch drill in 3 minutes
  mailboxes T1–T5, dates 12–26 October
none of the six scripts prints those tokens
```

### Learning outcomes

After this chapter, you should be able to:

1. List the pilot figures that live only in sentences.
2. Say that the six scripts' prints were already taught in the earlier lessons.
3. Reject a lab line that grows a new field for drafts or euros.

### 19.1 The adoption paragraph records decisions. The scripts record calculations.

After the four-week draft-only pilot the prose says 10 users produced 2,400 drafts and that no message was sent by the assistant. Wider use still requires a person to click send. New external domains get a warning. ReceiptSort goes to a person when the amount is above €500 or the confidence is low. The first incident step is an admin switch, and a drill completed that step in 3 minutes. The vendor's answers in the worked example include no training on customer data, 30-day retention, and a switch that blocks external sharing. The written scope names mailboxes T1–T5 and the dates 12–26 October.

None of those integers is a format field. Lab S prints Wilson rows, five seed rates, and one bootstrap line. Lab H prints three prefixes and three status words. Lab I prints four defence rows. Lab E prints weights and five eps lines. Lab R prints three bucket lines. Lab B prints nine precision lines. A search of those prints does not find 2400, 500, 3 minutes, a 30-day string, T1, or an October date.

The figures still matter. They are the plan. They simply are not measurements the six files computed. Writing `drafts=2400` beside a Wilson row, or `eur=500` beside an eps line, would forge a column.

| Figure | Home | Absent from |
|---|---|---|
| 2,400 drafts | Adoption paragraph | All six prints |
| €500 review | ReceiptSort sentence | The eps lines |
| 3-minute drill | Incident sentence | The bucket lines |
| T1–T5 and 12–26 October | Scope sentence | Every script |

### 19.2 Worked example

| Someone adds this to a printout | Decision |
|---|---|
| `drafts=2400` on the Wilson page | Refuse |
| `retention=30` on the hash page | Refuse |
| The same numbers, left in the adoption paragraph | Keep |
| A new seventh script to "confirm" the drill time | Refuse; the drill is a sentence |

> **Synthetic case.** Ten users and 2,400 drafts describe the invented firm. They are not a log extract.

### Errors and limits

A round number in a story is memorable, which makes it easy to promote into a column it never occupied.

### Apply

- **EX065 — Prose figures.** Which Tallis figures must stay in sentences, and what would a forged column look like? *Rubric:* 3 = 2,400 drafts, ten users, the human click, 30-day retention, €500, the 3-minute drill, T1–T5 and 12–26 October stay prose; none of the six scripts prints them;; 2 = lists the figures and names the scripts;; 1 = one figure;; 0 = writes them into a lab line.

## Worked answers

<a id="answer-ex065"></a>
**EX065.** Ten users, 2,400 drafts, a human click, 30-day retention, review above €500, a 3-minute drill, mailboxes T1–T5, and 12–26 October are sentences in the plan. None of the six scripts prints them. Putting drafts=2400 on a Wilson line would forge a column.
